The Every Day! Recognition Program celebrates schools, child care programs, and out-of-school programs that have made improvements in their environments related to healthy eating and physical activity.

The Every Day! Recognition Program is designed to:

Celebrate successful changes that make the healthy choice the easy choice.

Provide consistent, countywide standards for being a 5-2-1-0 ! Recognized Site.

Move sites towards lasting change.
Each recognition level has a theme, hover over each badge of achievement to learn more.

Registered-
Assessment
This participant level is for organizations who have taken the steps to officially register their sites and completed the action planning packet.
Intermediate-
Implementation
The Intermediate Level is all about making changes in daily practices and environment. This is done by implementing the 5 priority strategies.

This is the first step to supporting healthy behaviors.

This makes it easy and natural for kids to make healthy choices.
Advanced-
Communication
The Advanced Level is about communicating with families. As daily practices and the
environment change it is important to make families aware of the changes. Bringing families into the conversation:

Allows them to be advocates.
-
Encourages them to role model the same practices at home.

Increases accountability.
Expert-
Policy
The Expert Level is about putting the changes made into policy. This helps to ensure that the organizational environment remains a healthy place through the years, as new kids enter the and existing staff move on. Setting a clear Wellness Policy around practices that support healthy behaviors helps by:

Making sure all staff and parents understand the expectations around health and wellness.

Providing a set of consistent guidelines for staff to refer to.

Ensuring children are provided a healthy environment.
